Service Management
PART IV:Ā Reporting & Optimization
Session 12: Automation with Q-Bic & IoT
Course Code: SVC-12
Goal: Automate and enhance service delivery using CUBE’s Q-Bic engine, IoT integrations, and intelligent task workflows to drive efficiency, predictive maintenance, and real-time technician support.
Session Overview
Duration: 1 Hour
Format: Instructor-led (via Microsoft Teams or in-person)
Level: Advanced (Ideal for operations leads, service managers, and systems engineers)
Resources Provided:
- Q-Bic Logic Flow Reference
- CUBE Box Integration Overview
- IoT Sensor Mapping Guide
- Task Automation Configuration Sheet
- BLE/QR Field Tagging Summary
Learning Objectives
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Understand the role of Q-Bic in service automation and technician decision support
- Integrate CUBE Box for real-time monitoring and continuous commissioning
- Leverage IoT, QR, and BLE-based triggers to automate service flows
- Enable dynamic rescheduling and task suggestions based on field conditions
- Simulate an end-to-end Q-Bic-powered service task assignment
Session Agenda
12.1 Introduction to Q-Bic
- What is Q-Bic and how it fits within the CUBE service ecosystem
- Q-Bic use cases:
- Work order validation
- Service recommendations
- Material Request (MR) prompts
- Role in technician support and task prioritization
12.2 CUBE Box Integration for Continuous Commissioning
- Overview of CUBE Box as an IoT gateway
- Real-time data collection from connected systems (HVAC, lighting, access)
- Detecting faults, trends, or deviations
- Automatically triggering PM tasks or alerts based on thresholds
12.3 BLE, QR, and IoT Sensor-Enabled Service Flows
- Using BLE beacons, QR tags, and smart sensors to initiate service workflows
- Technician field process: scan, verify, service, sync
- Creating asset-aware workflows using NFC/QR auto-check-in
- Mapping sensors to equipment and linking to PM schedules
12.4 Automated Service Task Suggestions and Dynamic Rescheduling
- How Q-Bic evaluates:
- Sensor readings
- Fault history
- Technician feedback
- AI-powered task generation (e.g., reschedule PM, assign corrective task)
- Auto-rescheduling uncompleted or deferred work
- System-generated escalation routing and notifications
12.5 Exercise – Simulate Task Assignment via Q-Bic
Participants will:
- Trigger a simulated sensor alert from a monitored asset
- Observe Q-Bic generate a recommended work order
- Review technician validation and auto-assigned material list
- Approve the task and assign it via the dispatcher panel
- Simulate check-in with BLE/QR for technician field sync
Post-Session Action Items
To reinforce learning, participants are encouraged to:
- Enable Q-Bic suggestions on their active service accounts
- Review IoT and sensor-capable assets for tagging and mapping
- Create a task escalation model tied to specific sensor triggers
- Coordinate with field techs to test BLE/QR processes
- Track task suggestion accuracy and adjust thresholds as needed
Note: When scheduling, make sure to include this session code: SVC-12.
