Learning Objectives
By the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Interpret and navigate the Price Summary section in CUBE.
- Edit and update estimate values, including part and labor line items.
- Export detailed and summary-level reports for internal and external use.
- Manage Bill of Materials (BOM) data for procurement and cost control.
- Use Find and Replace to efficiently update estimate content.
- Access and utilize the Business Intelligence (BI) tool for reporting insights.
- Analyze costs using the Material Summary and Labor Summary pages.

6.1 Understanding the Price Summary Section
- Overview of the Price Summary interface and navigation.
- How CUBE breaks down cost data by:
- System.

- Understanding total values, subtotals, and markups
6.2 Editing and Updating Line Items
- Inline edits to labor, parts, and utility costs.
- Updating quantities and applying multipliers.
- Use of overrides vs. updates from the source database.
- Best practices for maintaining traceability during edits
6.3 Exporting Reports and Summaries
- Generating cost summaries by system, project, or category.
- Export formats: Excel, PDF, CSV.
- Internal vs. client-facing report formats.
- Creating export templates for consistent reporting
6.4 BOM Management and Cost Evaluation
- Reviewing and organizing the Bill of Materials.
- Sorting and filtering by vendor, classification, or part type.
- Comparing vendor costs and evaluating substitutions.
- Preparing BOM data for procurement or operations teams.
6.5 Using Find and Replace

Hands-On Exercises
Participants will:
- Navigate the Price Summary, Material Summary, and Labor Summary pages.
- Edit a line itemโs quantity and rate, and apply an override.
- Export a full estimate summary and a filtered system report.
- Use Find and Replace to update part tags across an estimate.
- Review a BOM and identify cost-saving alternatives.
- Explore a sample BI dashboard and apply filters
