Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Upload and categorize documents properly in CUBE.
  • Link external documents from cloud platforms like Google Drive and Dropbox.
  • Control document access, manage permissions, and track revisions.
  • Associate key documents to tasks, RFIs, change orders, and project assets.

Session Agenda

9.1 Uploading and Categorizing Documents
  • Upload directly to project file libraries.
  • Categorize by type (e.g., Drawings, Submittals, Contracts, Closeouts).
  • Use metadata tagging for easier searchability.
9.2 Linking Files from Cloud Systems
  • Connect to Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive.
  • Insert live file links without duplicating data.
  • Maintain centralized file management across cloud systems.
9.3 Controlling Access and Tracking Revisions
  • Assign role-based access controls.
  • Track version history and document changes.
  • Restore previous versions if necessary.
9.4 Associating Documents to Tasks, RFIs, and Change Orders
  • Attach relevant documents directly to:
    • Project tasks
    • RFIs and clarifications
    • Change Order submissions and approvals
  • Ensure document context is preserved across project actions.

Hands-On Preview (Optional if time allows)

  • Upload a sample drawing set.
  • Link external documents.
  • Associate documents to open RFIs.
