Using spreadsheets to estimate your projects.

Say goodbye to the spreadsheet. The hardest thing I had to do was to get rid of my estimating spreadsheet but the reality was that it was the number one source of my frustration. The only one that can understand all the formulas and tricks is you. Your team members most likely have their own systems and it is wasting everyone’s time and energy.

The problem with estimating using spreadsheets: IT IS DIFFICULT TO STANDARDIZE YOUR SUCCESS. Every employee has the ability to create an estimate using their own criteria, and this makes it hard to generate a standard across the company.
The key to increasing efficiency and productivity is to standardize your estimating process and make it repeatable.

Trying to reinvent the wheel with every project

Every time a controls engineer starts a new project, chances are that they’re doing work they already did. It’s a vicious cycle and you may not even realize it is happening. Most controls companies do not have the ability to catalog the work they have already done and it is easier to create the work again rather than search for it.

The problem with starting every project from zero is:  YOUR COMPANY IS WASTING HOURS THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE AND CAN BE SAVED. The key to increasing efficiency and productivity is to be able to capitalize on the work that has been done in previous projects and reduce the number of hours required to produce controls drawings.

Is generating project cut sheet to time consuming?

Every time a controls engineer need to complete a control submittal, the cut sheets for each of the parts must be included in the overall package.   For most companies this is a tedious process and consume quite a bit of time. If you are lucky, you only have to submit once.

The problem with compiling hundreds of cut sheets manually is:  YOUR COMPANY IS WASTING HOURS THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE AND CAN BE SAVED. The key to increasing efficiency and productivity is to be able to capitalize in automating these simple workflows and reduce the number of hours required to produce controls drawings.

Streamline your programming?

Well here is an idea, what about if you could generate your controls databases automatically and save tons of time and money in the process.

Here, at CUBE, we created the ability for our customers to automate the generation of controls programs by extracting the information from their controls drawings.
